Established more than 80 years ago, GARRIDO is proud to be recognised as one of the leading names in silversmithing. Founded by Damian Garrido in Madrid in 1940, GARRIDO has earned its reputation for masterful craftsmanship of precious metals and its eminent sense of modern simplicity and elegance. Building upon its tradition of fine decorate silverwork, GARRIDO offers pieces fashioned in cutting-edge contemporary design developed by our critically acclaimed artists. Dedicated to cultivating the art of silversmithing through creating Functional Art and Collectible Design, GARRIDO projects its vision onto international art market taking part in numerous international exhibitions and collaborating with some of the most prominent galleries and museums.
THE WORKSHOP
The GARRIDO workshop in Arganda del Rey, Madrid, was opened in 1994 to offer artisans the opportunity to train and to practice the age-old art of silversmithing. Gathered under one roof, a team of Spain’s finest craftsmen skilled in a wide array of disciplines carry GARRIDO’s heritage through crafting the classics of tomorrow. Care for the detail, skilful crafting and respect for complex and delicate materials that require confidence and mastery are the principles that the workshop lives by. The workshop’s artisans masterful in various traditional silversmithing techniques work together under the supervision of GARRIDO’s artistic duo to create ultimately luxuries collectables.

THE GALLERY
From Functional Art and Collectible Design, today GARRIDO produces and exhibits fine and decorative art by established international artist and designers. Located only a few kilometres away from the workshop, the gallery is a double-height luxurious interior flavoured by the modern aesthetic and with an intimate atmosphere of a cabinet of curiosities. The space is elegantly embellished with the latest GARRIDO creations alongside a selection of paintings and works on paper by the renown artists: Damien Hirst, Richard Serra, Joan Miró, Nico Munuera, José Pedro Kroft, Gordillo, Eduardo Chillida and Robert Motherwell.
