The moon like effect of the mirror achieved by layering glass with a silver leaf, lends the name to the piece.

The Cuspid Collection is one of the earliest collections designed by Juan and Paloma Garrido. Developed at the early stages of the new era of GARRIDO workshop, the collection strongly references the craft of silversmiths. It showcases the superlative skill of GARRIDO as masters of silver, artfully displaying numerous traditional techniques rarely used these days. The collection experiments with and challenges the technical skills of soldering, cold-bending, forging, polishing and embossing. Using geometrical shapes and angularity, the collection alludes to Cubism, forming a study of three dimensionality through volume and line. Similarly to Cubism the Cuspid Collection uses broken up forms and creates an illusion of presenting a multitude of viewpoints in a greater context.

The Cilindros Table Lamp is plated in anthracite dyed nickel and incorporates frosted glass cylinders. Designed using the traditional methods of hand metal shaping and forging, the metal carcass of the lamp is worked with hand-embossed textures and chemical etching treatment. The Cilindros Table Lamp is inspired by the Art Deco movement and is composed of curved lines and circles arranged in a dynamic design evoking cascading skyscraper shape.

The Cilindros Collection firmly consolidates in the geometric design and poses as an avant-garde form. Based on curved forms inspired by the female body, the sensual and delicate forms of the collection offer a very gentle and feminine aesthetic. The monumental Crystal Mirror features highly angular segments reminiscent of precious gemstone which are purposefully laid out into a geometric pattern. The segments, framing the mirror are crafted using polishing and etching techniques and exhibit dramatic alternation of high gloss finish and two textures. The composition is painstakingly assembled by hand and feature nickel and bronze plated brass. Venetian bronze finish offers a strong juxtaposition to the shimmering matt nickel, creating a powerful aesthetic, with the whole of Crystal Mirror being applied with embossed and carved figuring.

The unique Gold Aristas Art Plinth is hand-crafted by our specialist craftsmen in our Madrid workshop using traditional jewellery making techniques of etching and hand-assembling. The main body of the plinth is created out of 24 karat yellow gold-plated brass in the combination of high gloss and satin finishes. The contrasting effect of the facets, which form the hand-shaped body of the piece, create a lustrous sculptural form. The upper part of the body features intricate hand-worked textures and an exquisite black marble with golden veins quarried in Tunisia.

Galvanised by the power of light the Aristas Collection is based on smooth surfaces that bestow an elegant formal purity to the designs. With the numerous broken lines on the rippled surface of the pieces, which resemble the beams of light the collection is an artistic adaptation of the energy of light. The dramatic composition of the spherical elements posing at the centre of a number of the Aristas pieces with the dramatic busts of light - pay homage to the dramatisation of light pioneered by the Baroque artists, especially Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Similarly to the 17th-century style the Aristas collection creates theatrical composition using deep colours, grandeur and notion of surprise in order to achieve a sense of awe in the viewer.
