This Bronze Trenza Lamp features a vibrant geometric motif depicted in forged bronze-plated metal. The geometric rectangular motif draws its inspiration from the method of braiding hair, particularly the interwoven feature which is applied in this design. The lamp base is shaped in rounded format, presenting different views of the ‘braided’ metal segments. When lit up the rich golden hue of the treated base comes alive, reflecting the golden light. The Trenza Lamp also includes a luxurious silk shade.

The pair of Folds Sconces designed with reflective hand-polished silver and nickel-plated metal is a masterpiece by GARRIDO workshop. The highly geometric sculptural aesthetic of the design is inspired by the icicle formations found in nature and offer an artist interpretation of the natural world. Hand-crafted using traditional silversmith techniques of assembling and hand-modelling, the sconces are meticulously crafted using precious metals - the workshop’s signature feature. Sophisticated in their aesthetic, the Folds Sconces look marvellous as a design feature in any interior.
FOLDS COLLECTION
With the natural world lying at the very heart of GARRIDO’s oeuvre, the Folds Collection pays tribute to the issue of the global warming and melting of the arctic ice caps. Willing to bring awareness to the issue, GARRIDO uses iceberg and icicle forms as its inspiration, referencing the interlocking horizontal and vertical lines found in ice formation. Highly ridged folds, characteristic for this collection, symbolise the crashing and shattering of the arctic ice. Embodied in metal the GARRIDO Folds pieces personify the fading beauty of the natural world. Executed in lustrous metals and coated with the frosting-like textures, the Folds pieces resemble different shapes of ice, offering an inventive adaptation of the natural elements.

This Cuspid Lamp features a vibrant geometric motif depicted in forged bronze and nickel-plated metal. The geometric rectangular pattern is inspired by the works of the great Cubist artist and sculptor George Braque. The lamp base is shaped in rounded format, presenting different views of the shallow relief of the geometrical motif - making it a perfect piece to be viewed in the round. The Cuspid Lamp also includes a luxurious silk shade.
CUSPID COLLECTION
The Cuspid Collection is one of the earliest collections designed by Juan and Paloma Garrido. Developed at the early stages of the new era of GARRIDO workshop, the collection strongly references the craft of silversmiths. It showcases the superlative skill of GARRIDO as masters of silver, artfully displaying numerous traditional techniques rarely used these days. The collection experiments with and challenges the technical skills of soldering, cold-bending, forging, polishing and embossing. Using geometrical shapes and angularity, the collection alludes to Cubism, forming a study of three dimensionality through volume and line. Similarly to Cubism the Cuspid Collection uses broken up forms and creates an illusion of presenting a multitude of viewpoints in a greater context.

The Cilindros Table Lamp is plated in anthracite dyed nickel and incorporates frosted glass cylinders. Designed using the traditional methods of hand metal shaping and forging, the metal carcass of the lamp is worked with hand-embossed textures and chemical etching treatment. The Cilindros Table Lamp is inspired by the Art Deco movement and is composed of curved lines and circles arranged in a dynamic design evoking cascading skyscraper shape.
CILLINDROS COLLECTION
The Cilindros Collection firmly consolidates in the geometric design and poses as an avant-garde form. Based on curved forms inspired by the female body, the sensual and delicate forms of the collection offer a very gentle and feminine aesthetic. Inspired by the geometric forms of Art Deco, and the bright colours and rare and exquisite materials prevalent in the Vienna Secession movement, the Cilindros Collection is a luxuriously sculptural design. Quoting Art Deco with the cylindrical motives seen throughout the collection, the Cilindros pieces are transformed by the asymmetry that grants them a multiplicity of perspectives, playfully surprising the viewers. The creations appeal to the senses of balance, beauty and appreciation for the history of art and techniques.
